Dreams and Harry Potter . . .

Everyone has dreams. Everyone has dreams that come true. The real difference is those you seek. J.K. Rowling wanted to be a great writer. And her last book achieved that.

So many readers would say she did from the very beginning, insinuating that money was reward enough . . . It’s not. J.k. Rowling knows, she knows Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was her crowning glory, by far her best . . . The Hallows is her story. Her message has finally made its way onto the printed page.

Steinbeck wrote, The Grapes Of Wrath and made it his story . . . Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby, Hemingway, The Sun Also Rises, Faulkner, Flags in the Dust, Remarque, All Quiet On The Western Front, and on and on.

Its funny how we don’t read anymore . . . We don’t feel anymore . . . Fiction is our transport into the soul, our transport into what makes us strong. Ever wonder why we have wars? They come at points where we stop reading, stop feeling.

Unbeknownst to most, tears are our strength, they symbolize that we know sacrifice, to give of ourselves. And the ultimate sacrifice every soldier does every moment of every day . . .

Have you ever wondered why so many volunteer to go to war? So many of us see them as being stupid, so many see them as being paid for their service . . . But they don’t know we are the ones that will pay for they are our dreamers. They are our best, they believe in a better tomorrow. They are in motion . . . . If only our leaders didn’t see them merely as fodder.

I know so many that don’t read poetry, that don’t read fiction. I know something that most just don’t get. Poetry and fiction fills in the spaces that history fails to . . . They allow us to feel the pain, the happiness of a time long gone. I am a reader and I’m proud to be one, almost as proud as being a writer.

Are you a dreamer? Are you a Dreamer with a Cause? You know what you have to do by now . . . Dreams are yours to share. Dan
