Copyrights, Censorship And Lost Souls
Everything’s floating on the waves of the internet for obvious reasons and yet those of us that write, we become possessive over nothing . . . Vaporware, electronic x’s and o’s, binary Google droppings . . . We’re afraid someone will take our words from us, but can anyone take what we have already gave?
The longest running book in print is . . . Everyone knows it, its public domain . . . Floating inside every hotel room in the United States. Maybe the world . . . And The Bible lives for all with its message of goodness. I wonder do any of us own anything.
And we throw old titles away. We throw letters away . . . The modern day book burnings without the ceremony or the distaste. Books can be reused, saved, recycled for those without. They can give hope to those without hope. They give dreams to those without Dreams . . . Dreams can be recycled.
Pull those DREAMS from yesterday’s tombs, dust them off and put them to use. Revive, rekindle those fires, excite the day and live again. Happiness is but a DREAM away.
It’s been said we don’t read anymore . . . Writer’s read, we have to. But what about the rest of the world, do they read? Do they Dream anymore?
